Have you ever wondered how to best serve your communities and see lasting transformation? Do you wonder what the ‘Good News’ means for the people in your community? What are God’s intentions for them? How do impoverished communities move from despair towards hope and God’s Kingdom intentions? How do we deal with the huge spiritual, social, and physical issues communities face? How do we break ingrained patterns of thinking and other issues that hold communities in poverty?
If you have had any of these questions, then the community development seminar is for you! An understanding of community development principles and values is central to effectively engaging with communities, locally and globally, to see sustainable transformation spiritually, socially, and physically – to help them move towards God’s good intentions for life.
It’s about much more than projects – it’s about having a Biblical understanding of poverty; it’s about restoring broken relationships with God, with other people, and with creation; it’s about an integral approach that addresses all of life, physical, social, and spiritual; and it’s about sustainable development where communities are empowered to develop strategies to find their own solutions.
The key is transformed hearts, minds, and lives; transformed communities, societies, and nations, and our target is the glory of God declared and demonstrated as His Kingdom is introduced on earth.
