Greetings from Bangkok!

Are you working with the poor and needy? Feel like you or your ministry needs more skills or input? Want to interact with others working in development or beginning new projects?

We are hosting a Development Workshop with Dave and Ali Swann, presently located in Pretoria, South Africa, who have been running successful development training in Europe and Africa for many years. They have travelled extensively, teaching teams how to plan and manage community development projects, as well as, addressing local and global issues.  The workshop is designed to give input on relevant topics such as:

  • Biblical thinking and development
  • Project planning and management
  • Fund raising
  • Integrated development (including church planting)
  • Empowerment

In order to make this time as relevant as possible we will be asking those who sign up to give us input on their felt needs. As far as possible we will tailor the workshop to meet the felt needs of the participants.

There will be time where we can hear and learn from each other - our successes, struggles, experiences, and lessons learned in order that we may be able to have greater impact in the future.

The style will be highly interactive, participative and practical.

The workshop will be held at the Avana Hotel in Bangkok.  This hotel is located near the Suvarnabhumi Airport and you can check it out at www.avanahotel.com .

Participants are asked to arrive on Sunday, September 12 in time for a light evening meal and short meeting of introductions and orientation for the week.

The cost of the hotel for the workshop will be approximately** THB 4550 (US$ 147) per person including sharing a room with one other person, breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks.
